In addition to the doctorate programs, we also offer a Rehabilitation Administration Certificate RAC that helps prepares allied health and rehabilitation professionals to become future managers and leaders in the evolving healthcare environment. Signed essential functions form. Complete a minimum of 80 hours of paid or volunteer observation experience under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Before submitting your application you must complete a minimum of 16 hours in three different types of practice settings including at least one inpatient care facility. The inpatient care facility can be an acute care hospital, a nursing home or an inpatient rehabilitation facility.

Example practice settings include home health, inpatient hospital, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, outpatient orthopedic care, or pediatric school-based rehabilitation. Three letters of recommendation will be needed with your application, at least one from a licensed Physical Therapist is recommended.

Chemistry - Minimum of two semesters or equivalent quarters totaling a minimum of 8 semester credits of a chemistry sequence including labs. Physics - Minimum of two semesters or equivalent quarters totaling a minimum of 8 semester credits of a physics sequence including labs.

Seven of the nine prerequisite courses need to be complete by the end of fall semester in which you apply. The courses must include the first course in both the chemistry and physics class sequences. All prerequisite courses must be passed with a 2. A letter grade of C- or lower will not be accepted. It is strongly recommended that students complete a course in microbiology, neuroscience, biomechanics and exercise physiology.

AP credits are accepted for prerequisites only if a letter grade appears on the official college transcript. If a college grade is not assigned to the course, the sequence needs to be completed in college to complete the prerequisite.

In order to be admitted into the program, students must provide proof of attaining a Bachelor's degree, taking the prerequisite courses, achieving the minimum grade point average and completing CPR certification.

Five of the seven PT programs in Missouri take three years and require prerequisite work, a Bachelor's degree, completion of the GREs along with test scores , a minimum GPA, letters of recommendation and sufficient knowledge of the field.
